Rated 85/ 100 Points by ‘The Winespectator’, Finca Sophenia Malbec Reserve is quite dark and toasty red wine with ambitious fig sauce, blackberry confiture and spice box aromas and flavors backed by espresso and anise notes. The emphasis is on complex fruit character with subtle nuances of vanilla and spice provided by the oak. The aroma has a well integrated array of tropical fruit, spice, slight herbal notes and grapefruit. The flavors are bright and fresh and reminiscent of the aromas. A refreshing crispness and clean lingering finish make this a wonderful aperitif or complement to a wide range of lighter dishes.
